3 Reasons Why You Should Hire A Professional Wedding Photographer
You have an uncle or a cousin or friend or family member who has a DSLR, and they love taking pictures and they took some pretty good pictures. They say they'll do it for cheap, maybe even for free and weddings are so expensive.
So why should you spend $3000 to $6,000 on a wedding photographer? Do you really want someone you don’t know at your wedding?
Well, I made the mistake of not having a professional wedding photographer on my wedding day and regret it to this day and here’s why:
1.“The shot”
A wedding day has so many moving parts, and you want to make sure that you have every moment captured. From your mom helping you put on your dress to your dad crying when he walks you down the aisle, to the first time your husband sees you in that beautiful dress. And most importantly THE KISS! I've heard so many horror stories of new photographers, or friends who miss these important shots. (I don’t have any of these important photos from my wedding day)
2. Clear photos
I had my friend using her DSLR. And she took over 1000 photos, and only 25 were clear. Only 25 photos from the biggest day in my life had no blur in them. It's very disappointing when you look back and all you have is just 25 photos that show all the detail and effort that you put in, and I would hate for that to happen to you. So learn from my mistakes!
3. Editing
Did you get a pimple the night before the wedding day? I really hope that doesn't happen to you. But a professional photographer will be able to edit that out. If you have a smudge of your lipstick, they will be able to edit that. Not to mention a professional wedding photographer will have a developed, tired and true editing style to make sure your photos are consistently beautiful.
I know that you will hopefully print and hang your wedding photos on your wall for all to see, years to come, or on your parents’ walls or even on your grandma's fridge. So let’s make sure they reflect your special and beautiful day!
