The Moment I knew…

I remember sitting on the floor beside my grandma going over her wedding photos -that were more than 40 years old- and I knew that I was holding my family history in my hands.

It was in this moment that I knew I wanted to capture beautiful, emotional and loving weddings.

I was born in America and raised in Australia and have developed a love and passion for exploring different countries, cultures and cuisines.

With over 5 years of professional photography experience, being published in Vogue Brides, Nobel Magazine and affiliating with Easy weddings, True Brides and ABIA, I was able to leave my 9-5 and follow my calling to dedicating my time capturing your once-in-a-lifetime-moments.

My Journey To Photography…

I was born in America with two brothers, a father, grandparents, aunts, cousins - the works really. But with my parents’ divorce when I was 5 years old, I ended up in foster care in Australia.
I had lost any and all connections with my family in America and after 16 years of separation I found my brother on Facebook - who would have thought! It was straight after our first call that I booked a flight to America to meet him and my whole family.

In the moment before getting off the plane, I realised that what was about to happen - meeting my brother for the first time - will never happen again. Aside from stressing about my hair and what I was even going to say, I wanted to capture the moment. I didn’t get my phone out though, because I was a ball of nerves and I didn't want to look like a dork filming the first time I saw my family.

I was greeted with hugs, a “Welcome Back” poster and even a few tears on my part. Luckily, my brother’s amazing wife was there to take photos of our first meeting.

I will always be so grateful to her for capturing this emotional moment.

Here is where my love for photography began

After an amazing and once-in-a-lifetime event like that, I began thinking about how important moments with your family can be. And of course, other events like getting married or the birth of your children are also once-in-a-lifetime moments that can never be replicated. And who would capture it? Who could really understand and value the emotions of your moment?

BUT…

I was still working the dreaded 9 to 5. I was studying photography and doing several photo shoots a week but I was fixed on the idea that I wasn’t successful if I wasn’t at the top of the corporate chain. So I kept working and went from Food and Beverage, to an Income Auditor for a massive resort chain and then even the manager of the tallest building in the southern hemisphere…. But I still wasn’t happy. The further up I moved the less happy I became.

And I had the dream of being a photographer

So, thanks to the incredible support and encouragement of my husband, I left my corporate job as a Manager and set out to capture the excitement of life.
But I love love - super dorky, I know! - and I am and always will be so excited about your wedding, your family and your new-borns because…

that's what makes life worth living.

My story, my journey is why I am so passionate about preserving your once-in-a-lifetime moments. I want you to be able to one day sit with your grand children and show them pictures of your stunning wedding dress, and laugh about the style 40+ years ago. I want them to see your wedding day and be proud and happy and to feel that deep level of connection to you.

So let’s chat, tell me about your planning and what you want most out of your wedding day.
